The Warehouse Lead position is responsible for leading all efforts related to shipping, and inventory control, maintenance and receiving. This responsibility includes ensuring efficiency as well as accuracy with inventory control.

Essential Functions

  • Identify work standard variance and implement improvements.
  • Lead and train employees to identify and eliminate waste; empower and communicate to employees to ensure high productivity with focus on continuous improvement; implement system to sustain changes made.
  • Implement accurate and efficient material handling and flow to include lot-control and FIFO rotation.
  • Coordinate product issue resolution with Q.A., material handlers and Purchasing.
  • Manage and monitor employees to achieve minimum overtime usage and maximum productivity levels.

  • Small Package shipment processing/ Picking and Packing
  • Resolve any food safety concerns, including a food package that is found open for any reason, and report situation to Leadership Team.
  • Ensure the safe use of warehouse equipment and all safety policies are being followed.
  • Record incoming and outgoing shipments into the system accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Initiate and deliver efficiency improvements within the warehouse operations as well as in the end-to-end process with the manufacturing floor.
  • Manage the cycle count process accurately and in accordance with documented company procedures.
  • Perform material movement duties as needed.

Qualifications (Education/Experience)

  • Bachelor's Degree or related experience.
  • Must possess strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • 3+ years of warehouse lead experience preferred
  • Experience in continuous improvement methodology; including LEAN.
  • Productive team worker.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Adaptive and flexible to change.
  • Proficient computer skills to include warehouse specific software.
  • Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills.
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic planning abilities.
